We are pleased to announce that a student member of AdvOL, Jessie Liu, has been awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology.

Oleksandr Romanko has been awarded the the INFORMS Interactive Presentation Award, 3rd Place. The award was presented at the 2011 INFORMS Annual Meeting, November 13-16, 2011 in Charlotte, NC.

The award was for Oleksandr's poster presentation "Multiobjective Robust Optimization in Finance and Risk Management" (joint work with Helmut Mausser and Tamas Terlaky) at the INFORMS interactive presentation session, a conference-wide event featuring around 40 posters.
