Title:  Optimization and Learning for Full-duplex Cognitive Radio Networks

Cognitive radios are RF devices that are capable of sensing spectrum holes and transmitting opportunistically. In this talk, we discuss more efficient operations of cognitive radios that can be enabled by emerging full-duplex communication techniques. In particular, we formulate and solve the offline optimization problem of throughput maximizing, and the online problem of learning the channel statistics and optimally selecting the best channel to operate on.
