Title:  Research Activities in the Wireless System and Social Computing Lab

In this talk, we will give an overview of several projects undergoing in the Wireless System and Social Computing Lab including: resource allocation for network monitoring, binary independent analysis and applications, wireless sensor networks for civil structure health monitoring, uncertainty in spatial queries, influence propagation in online social networks, smart grid security, and energy efficient WiFi-based indoor activity tracking. We will present both the problem statement, key solution techniques as well as open problems. Our research centers on modeling, mitigating and decision making in presence of uncertainty arise from networked systems.
