Title: An Overview of Large-Scale NLP Applications in Process Engineering

This talk presents an overview of large-scale nonlinear programming problems that arise in the chemical industry. Here we cover application problems in process design, operations and planning. In particular, we discuss the challenges faced in solving these NLPs along with recent progress in the problem formulation and algorithmic development. Several applications are shown that illustrate these developments.
