Andrew Baker, and AdvOL student member, has been awarded a 2008-2009 Ontario Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (OGSST).

Congratulations go out to Feng Xie, who was selected for a summer internship at IBM's Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY).

We would like to congratulate Tamás Terlaky, the founder and head of AdvOL, who has been awarded the 2007-2008 MITACS Award for Excellence in Mentorship.  The award will be presented at the MITACS Annual Conference on June 3 in Montréal.

We congratulate Yuriy Zinchenko, a postdoctoral fellow at AdvOL who has been awarded the 2007 MITACS Award for Best Novel Use of Mathematics in Technology Transfer.

Two AdvOL student members were awarded prestigious scholarships by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Feng Xie got the NSERC Postgraduate Scholarship (PGS-D) and William Hua got the Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS-M). Our congratulations to the scholarship recipients.
